A Friday night in Syosset is filled with the familiar smell of fresh dough and truffle oil. It really doesn’t get much better than that. Recently, a new pizza hotspot opened in North Syosset called Americano. The restaurant is known for its signature slices, including the Bee Sting with hot honey and pepperoni, the Fig & Pig with fig jam and prosciutto, and the Shroom Pie with truffle oil and fresh mushrooms. These are only some of the most popular slices at Americano, but the menu is not limited to them.
The assortment of slice options is extraordinary. Almost any slice combination is possible at Americano, and the restaurant combines toppings in creative ways that pizza lovers can appreciate. In addition to the quality of the food, Americano provides a place for friends and families to gather over the weekend. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, and its location in a shopping plaza is convenient for customers. Pizza is only the start of the Friday night experience. After dinner, the bakery adjacent to the restaurant is a perfect stop for dessert.
Americano is already making a name for itself among Syosset students. Andrew Varadi, a sophomore, shared his thoughts on the restaurant. He said, “The dough at Americano makes it one of the best pizza places in the area. Also, it is a chill place for me to eat with my friends on a Friday night.” Americano has also become a popular gathering spot for sports teams after practices and games. Whether celebrating a victory or cheering each other up after a tough loss, students often head to the restaurant for a meal together. The staff at Americano enjoy seeing teams and groups of friends spending time there.
Whether students stop by after practice or families visit on weekends, Americano has quickly become a favorite local spot in Syosset.
